The Ocean Yachts 37 Express Based on Ocean’s popular and proven 37’ Billfish hull, the new 37’ Express is Ocean’s latest foray into the express market. As a company well known for making large sportfish convertibles from 42’ to 73’, Ocean has incorporated many big boat features into this new 37’ package. For those who don’t want to climb the ladder to the flying bridge to operate your fishing boat, yet still want a boat that is large enough to take offshore in comfort, the Ocean Yachts 37’ Express is just right. We at Ocean certainly know our way around the design of offshore convertibles, so it was only natural that the company evolves into the express realm. Main Features Cockpit: The 37 Express cockpit has molded-in rolled fiberglass coamings. It boasts mezzanine seating, with lots of integrated features. There is a bait freezer under the port side mezzanine seat, while there is tackle storage and a rigging station under the starboard seat. There are three insulated compartments in the mezzanine itself, which can be used for storage or as coolers. The two standard in-deck fishboxes are insulated and can be refrigerated as an option. A 30 gallon livewell is molded into the transom. Fresh and raw water washdowns are standard and both come equipped with quick disconnect hose fittings. Naturally, there's an aluminum backing plate under the deck for mounting a fighting chair or rocket launcher. Helm Deck: Just two steps up from the cockpit the elevated helm deck offers a centerline helm, which makes maneuvering easy and intuitive. The standard seating arrangement includes port and starboard L-shaped lounges, centerline helm chair, and portside companion seat. Storage is found built in to all of the lounge seating, as well as refrigeration under the companion seat. A large built in electronics display area provides ample space for your marine electronics. And even more, the helm deck actuates open to reveal the entire engine room. This makes maintenance and cleaning a breeze. The helm deck is enclosed with a windshield and StrataGlass to keep you protected from the elements. A hard top with molded in spreader lights and aluminum support frame are all standard. A tuna tower can be added as an option. Below Decks: More of Ocean’s excellent use of space can be seen in the lower deck area of the 37 Express, and it certainly is eye-catching with its open layout. Beautiful satin finished cherry wood is used in the cabinetry throughout. Low maintenance Amtico flooring keeps the elegant look of the salon, and rod storage is under the deck and inside the sofa. The port side galley has refrigerator and freezer drawers, a two burner cooktop, microwave, and ample storage. There is a full head aft that has a separate stall shower. The bunks forward are ideal for spending the night fishing with friends or cruising with family. |
