The 52 Super Sport possesses the soft contours, modified flush-forward deck design, and raised sheerline that make Oceans the touchstone in classic American production yachts. What is not immediately apparent, however, is her highly efficient planing hull.

Increased deadrise forward produces a deeper entry and a softer ride. Twin lifting strakes feed water into the suction area naturally occurring on planing hulls. This action reduces resistance. Water is fed to the props, resulting in less slippage and improved efficiency at lower speeds. Twin lifting strakes also soften the ride in chop and slop. Overall performance and tracking ability are excellent.

The 52 Super Sport is capable of 30+ knots with standard diesel engines driving her. Optional powerplants are available for those wanting even more power. These unbeaten top speeds are achieved using more fuel-efficient engines with smaller footprints.

Oceans are manufactured of premium materials. Our durable hulls consist of woven fiberglass fabric, Divinycell cores, vinyl-ester resins and isophthalic gel coats. Unique, rigid two-piece modular construction builds in impressive strength and consistent fit. Ocean Yachts are backed by a transferable Five Year Limited Structural Hull Warranty.

The Awlgrip-finished engine room suppresses engine noise and heat with molded-in soundproofing and insulation. A 12.5-kW generator is standard aboard this Ocean.
